About The Team

Roku’s Advertising FP&A team is comprised of a diverse and talented group of professionals dedicated to driving the company’s advertising business forward. Our team leverages financial expertise, data and strategic insights to support decision-making and ensure sustainable growth. We collaborate cross-functionally with various departments including sales, revenue operations, product and accounting.

About The Role

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the advertising business, partnering closely with sales leadership, sales operations, and accounting to drive key insights and analytics. The role provides analytical and direct business support for new advertising revenue streams including the forecast, monthly close, annual plan, results analysis, and reporting packages.  This role provides the opportunity to get an in-depth understanding of the streaming world, the OTT advertising business, key financial drivers, and the company’s continued efforts to drive predictability in a rapidly changing environment. This role reports to the Director of FP&A, Advertising, based out of the New York City office.

For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $109,000 and $112,500 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Partnering closely with stakeholders across the advertising sales organization, and contribute meaningfully to the financial planning processes
  • Owning full P&L planning process from start to finish with a focus on automation and improvement for new advertising revenue streams
  • Deep dive into the business drivers and use a data driven approach to influence business decisions with your findings
  • Working cross functionally to develop complex models to size market opportunity and track key KPIs
  • Collaborating with internal teams to drive creation, automation and improvements of financial reporting and analytics
  • Partnering with Accounting to understand impacts on revenue recognition as part of the financial close
  • Creating additional ad-hoc analyses that help drive business strategy and improve efficiency

We're excited if you have

  • 3-5 years of FP&A or accounting experience, ideally in a high growth advertising or media company
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, engineering, accounting, economics, data analytics or related subject
  • Passion for data and the insights they unlock
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precision
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple departments
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, reporting, and handling large data sets using Excel
  • Ability to understand complex business drivers, produce high-quality analytics and communicate results effectively
  • Eagerness to be resourceful in a start-up environment that will be rapidly evolving
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Salesforce / NetSuite / Anaplan / Tableau experience a plus
