Our client is a mid-sized, successful, family-owned CPG company. They are seeking a multifaceted Finance Manager to join their finance team. As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our finance team, contributing your expertise to our financial strategy, decision-making, and the overall fiscal health of the organization. You'll be responsible for not only analyzing financial data but also translating those numbers into compelling stories that guide our strategic decisions. With your strong background in accounting and finance, you'll help steer the organization towards continued success through the art of financial storytelling.
This position is onsite in Nashville, IL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights and recommendations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets and financial plans
Transform financial data into compelling narratives that guide strategic decision-making
Monitor and manage the company's financial health, including cash flow and budgetary
planning
Prepare and present financial reports to leadership, using storytelling to advise on performance
and potential areas for improvement
Assist in the evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions, and mergers, using your storytelling
skills to convey financial opportunities and risks
Enhance financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and communicate
these improvements effectively
Develop and maintain cash flow projections, explaining their significance to the organization
Provide financial guidance and support to various departments within the organization,
translating complex financial concepts into easily digestible stories
Review and act upon findings and recommendations from auditors, providing a clear narrative
for action
Implement performance metrics to support financial operational excellence, narrating the journey towards improvement
Coordinate financially driven operations across different departments, emphasizing the overarching narrative of financial success
Analyze the costs associated with new product development and measure ROI as it pertains to incremental revenue
Play a key role in the selection, purchase, and integration of acquired businesses, using storytelling to guide the integration process
Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective financial communication
At discretion of Senior leadership Ad hoc projects could be assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting is essential
Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
Strong track record of effectively communicating complex financial data and insights to non-
finance stakeholders
Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to decision-making
processes
Prior involvement in financial reporting and analysis for a dynamic organization
Familiarity with financial software and tools for data analysis
Master’s in business administration or a related field is preferred but not required.
