Senior Field Engineer

Primary Purpose

The Senior Field Engineer will support various field engineering aspects of Construction execution providing solutions to technical issues, interfacing with home office engineering team as needed, and supporting construction management. Works closely with site quality team for consistency of execution. Interfaces with Sempra permitting and regulatory compliance team and ensures that site documents are submitted timely. Participates in FERC and/or other regulatory visits.

Accountabilities, responsibilities, and work area may be altered from time to time based on the needs of the organization and the project.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Supports the technical construction activities including, but not limited to, site prep, piling, piping, structural steel, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation to ensure compliance with codes, engineering drawings, specifications, environmental guidelines, quality assurance programs and construction safety program. Participates in FERC and/or other regulatory site visits, ensures submittals to agencies per requirements.
• Provides manager with technical inputs for technical planning.
• Completes construction progress and status reports as required.
• Ensures proper preservation of piping materials/systems in line with “Built-It-Clean”, “Built-It-Tight” philosophy.
• Provides analyses and inputs to construction schedule and progress.
• Maintains positive working relationships with various team members.
• Attends internal meetings and provide input and perspective to discussions.
• Attends safety and construction site walkthrough.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree Engineering or other technical discipline. Required
  
  

Experience

• 8 experience in major construction projects and experience with multiple disciplines and experience in Oil and Gas industry Required
• Experience with LNG, power plants or other large infrastructure construction projects including pre-commissioning experience. Preferred

• In-depth knowledge of environmental & safety requirements, industrial safety practices Advanced
