Position Summary:
The Senior Electronics Smart Home Technician works directly with customers to apply the latest smart home technologies integrated into their home and lifestyle. Senior Electronics Smart Home technicians are responsible for installation and programming of electronic equipment for luxury clients and premier technology to make our customers say, "WOW!" They will also be a team leader on-site, overseeing projects and technicians.
Responsibilities:
Install TV's, speakers, amplifiers, motorized shades, and networking equipment
Ability to read an audio/video blueprint, wiring drawings, and manuals
Install the smart home systems per manufacturer specifications and operational procedures
Projection of a professional image of yourself and Bekins through significant exposure to the customer
Use the necessary tools to install and test smart home systems
Teach clients how to use their smart home products
Complete jobs to Bekins’ standards and provide excellent customer service
Act as a team lead while on-site
Qualifications:
3 years of Electronics Installation experience preferred
Have a passion for the latest electronic products, systems, devices and tools
Experience in low voltage electronics preferred
Find enjoyment in helping the customer get the right product installed and programmed to their specifications and preferences
Have an aptitude for detailed work
Be proficient in setting up of apps
Be thorough and consistent in documenting work performed on appropriate forms
Proficient use of basic hand and power tools (prefer your own set of tools)
Safely travel to worksites – maintain equipment, vehicles, and work areas in a clean and professional manner
Have experience managing projects or leading teams
Preferred Certifications:
CEDIA Certified Electronics Systems Technician
Experience with Lutron, Crestron, and Control 4 preferred
Experience in lighting control systems, motorized shades/window treatments preferred
