What were looking for:

A seasoned Electrical Engineering professional to fill the role of Senior Electrical Engineer within our Engineering unit. Our division, Flex Air, is dedicated to pioneering top-tier, energy-efficient HVAC solutions. Each project is meticulously crafted to surpass our client's expectations. Our product range includes bespoke air handling units, prefabricated modular systems, and retrofit solutions. The Senior Electrical Engineer will analyze project specifications, innovate, design, and document electrical/electromechanical solutions for commercial and industrial HVAC, hydronic plants, and electrical power distribution projects. They will offer electrical engineering expertise for the installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical/electromechanical products and systems. Additionally, they will provide engineering assistance for the installation, testing, and maintenance of products and systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Spearheading the development and engineering of tailored electrical systems to meet precise client needs.
  • Assessing products and suppliers to ensure functionality, performance, and alignment with customer requirements for each project.
  • Generating, revising, and scrutinizing 2D and 3D CAD data, One-Line Diagrams, product documentation, and bills of materials to confirm compliance with customer design requirements.
  • Ensuring product quality and performance through the development and review of engineering best practices and SOPs.
  • Collaborating across sales, operations, and quality departments to ensure that product designs meet the needs of all stakeholders.
  • Providing manufacturing with guidance and support to troubleshoot build issues.
  • Assisting project management in coordinating project schedules and requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations (e.g., OSHA, NEC, etc.) from an engineering perspective.
  • Ensuring the reliable operation of equipment.
  • Reviewing cost estimates and job-specific requirements and reporting any discrepancies in costing.
  • Offering mentorship and assistance to new engineers to support their professional growth.


Requirements:

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university. Additionally, they should possess a minimum of seven (7) years of concurrent Electrical Engineering experience or similar market experience.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, HVAC, and building industries.
  • Strong root cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively and provide guidance to manufacturing teams and journeyman electricians.
  • Basic knowledge of Instrumentation and Controls Systems; experience in programming HVAC systems is advantageous.
  • Experience in modular construction and Data Center projects is a plus.
  • Experience with Medium Voltage power distribution is beneficial.
