The Senior Director of Partnerships & Alliances is a strategic role responsible for identifying, cultivating, and nurturing partnerships and relationships with external organizations to drive business growth, innovation, and collaborative opportunities. This role involves a combination of business development, relationship building, negotiation, and strategic planning. This role plays a pivotal role in expanding the organization's network and creating mutually beneficial partnerships that contribute to its success.
Responsibilities
Partnership Program Development and Management:
Evaluate market trends, industry players and emerging opportunities to identify potential partnership prospects
Develop partnership relationships and establish programs to generate new business opportunities and sales leads
Monitor partner effectiveness and report to internal stakeholders and executive team
Develop and leverage the Partnership ecosystem to create exit opportunities
Identify relevant partner categories and targets
Seek, structure, negotiate, and close new partner deals
Establish and communicate best practices to support a growing partnerships program
Collaborate closely with internal leaders to define and refine offerings
Develop and maintain relations with strategic partners
Increase the reach and market share by partnering with other businesses and organizations
Build brand awareness and credibility
Develop partnership programs in support of the business strategy and provide our customers with a more comprehensive and integrated learning experience
Leverage the expertise and resources of our partners to achieve our business goals
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of partnerships
Continuously assess the value and effectiveness of partnerships and make recommendations for improvement
Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills
Proven experience in business development, partnership management, or related roles
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strategic thinking and ability to align partnerships with business goals
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess potential partners and evaluate opportunities
Project management skills to oversee partnership initiatives from concept to execution
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Knowledge of ed tech industry and markets
Proficient in CRM systems, Google Suite and collaboration tools
Education
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience (Master’s degree preferred)
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Occasional irregular work hours
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc.
Extended time viewing a computer monitor
Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
