As the Senior Director of Strategy, you will work with the CEO and Practice leaders to identify new offerings, tools, value proposition, positioning, build capabilities and support the go-to-market plan to drive profitable growth. This position will work closely with the Account Management team to identify, sell, and lead large strategic engagements across multiple service offerings. Serving as the leader on strategic engagements, the Senior Director of Strategy will create trusted client relationships and ensure UASI deliverables drive strategic outcomes for clients.


Responsibilities: Time spent in each of the 3 key areas will vary during the year based on priorities and opportunities.


Strategy (30-50%)

  • Collaborate with CEO, Practice Leaders, and others within the organization to develop the growth strategy and differentiation for the organization.
  • Based on market trends and needs, identify strategic offerings, tools, partners, and channels to support growth and collaborate with leadership to identify resources and design, drive and/or support the execution plan with the practices.
  • Develop and execute thought leadership strategy including speaking engagements, writing, declaring a POV, and creating case studies in alignment with marketing strategy.
  • Participates in key Management Team meetings and plays a significant role in developing and facilitating annual strategic plans.


Client Delivery (25-50%)

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and serve as the engagement lead to ensure all engagements achieve optimal outcomes and leveraging various engagement models to ensure profitability.
  • Establish credibility with Senior VP/C-level decision makers by understanding needs and delivering consulting services that drive results and position UASI as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Utilize strong client communication skills and artful client management to guide the client through engagements that provide confidence and value to them, including productive status meetings, influencing key stakeholders, and ensuring project scope and deliverables are on time and budget with the expected outcomes.
  • Use critical thinking skills to synthesize data, identify insights and translate that into actionable recommendations and deliverables.
  • Provide mentoring and training to consulting staff on projects by sharing expertise related to project deliverables, client communication, project methodologies, analysis of data and trends, etc. all within a collaborative and supportive structure.


Business Development (20-30%)

  • Serve as a SME to sell and support the sales team with gaining credibility with clients, crafting proposals, creating the scope of work, and strategies to drive growth of consulting engagements.
  • Pursue opportunistic growth opportunities within client portfolio to improve market share of the client spend, position UASI as a strategic partner and improve portfolio financial performance.

  • Client satisfaction and retention
  • Client portfolio revenue growth and margin accountability
  • Growth targets in SME role for new opportunities
  • Driving organizational growth through new offering, model, partner identification and execution
  • Ability to drive efficiencies through identification and implementation of technology and/or structure or process improvement


Qualifications:

  • 10 years or more of consulting experience.
  • Ability to identify strategic offerings and tools to drive profitable growth.
  • Proven foundational consulting skills including analytical and critical thinking skills as well as written and verbal communication, client presence and presentation skills.
  • Strong industry knowledge and demonstrated subject matter expertise in mid-revenue cycle operations including HIM operations, coding, value-based care initiatives, denials management, and other key industry trends/drivers.
  • Ability to understand the problem and articulate a solution in a simple, clear manner
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information and articulate a clear recommendation, rationale, and plan to the client
  • Project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to travel up to 50% depending on client commitments.
