Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Senior Director Risk Management is sets the strategic vision and oversees the Risk Management function. The Senior Director leads efforts to develop a comprehensive risk strategy that identifies, measures, and mitigates sources of risks.

What You’ll Do:
- Annual insurance renewal program, in partnership with internal and external teams; collect underwriting data, complete applications, ensure programs are issued as presented and bound
- Determine necessary updates to insurance coverages
- Manage policy renewals, third-party vendors, and payroll true-ups for Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation
- Participation in many high impact issues, as well as escalated employee and guest complaints
- Develop and lead the ERM program (with a cross functional team) including business continuity plans and organizational resilience
- Collaborate on crisis management response including natural disasters, product recalls, foodborne illnesses, cyber incidents, etc.
- Support further development of a Loss Prevention/Asset Protection program, including metric development to track performance
- Provide direction to third party claim administrators and lead on associated litigation for Property & Casualty and Executive Lines including worker’s compensation, general liability, auto liability, property, and cyber, (EPL claims are supported by HR)
- Lead safety efforts by developing and implementing programs to protect Team Members and Guests, including monitoring and mitigating restaurant level risks
- Supervise the Claims & Safety Specialist (remote worker)
- Collaborate internally and externally on compliance with health and safety regulations, food handling guidelines, Team Member Illness Reporting through third party vendor Zero Hour Health, and other relevant standards
- Oversee the renewal process for business, liquor, and health licenses with outside provider LiquorLicense.com
- Oversee compliance with alcohol, sanitation, and safety certification requirements and quarterly reporting
- OSHA Compliance including training, record keeping, and reporting
- Develop and implement standards, programs, and best practices for risk management
- Build and achieve annual budget
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7-10 years of risk management experience
- Ability to think strategically while operating tactically; project management ability; attention to detail and follow through
- Excellent written, verbal communication skills, proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Restaurant industry experience preferred; experience with RMIS system a plus
