Ashford (NYSE American: AINC) is a leading provider of asset management and other services to companies within the hospitality industry. Currently, Ashford serves as the advisor to two NYSE listed real estate investment trusts, namely Ashford Hospitality Trust ("Ashford Trust") and Braemar Hotels & Resorts. Combined, Ashford Trust and Braemar Hotels & Resorts have 114 hotels with more than 26,000 rooms and approximately $7.5 billion in assets.
Senior Director of Revenue Optimization
The Senior Director of Revenue Optimization is a key member of the Ashford Revenue Optimization and Asset Management leadership team and reports to the SVP of Asset Management.
Primary priorities to include:
1) Ensuring that appropriate, best-in-class Revenue Management, Sales, Digital Marketing, and Distribution strategies are in place at Ashford owned assets in collaboration with the Asset Management team
2) Supporting the Asset Management team in driving RevPAR Index Growth and optimizing all revenue streams
Fundamental Requirements:
- Provide Revenue Management, Sales, Digital Marketing and Distribution strategy guidance for a portfolio of hotels
- Lead dedicated Revenue Optimization calls to review Revenue Management, Digital Marketing, Sales and Distribution performance with brands and management companies
- Review and analyze market intelligence, brand reports and other measurement tools in order to present revenue opportunities
- Work in tandem with brands, management companies and external partners to develop and recommend pricing strategies to attract optimal business mix – Goal is to drive Ashford’s portfolio market share to maximum performance levels
- Monitor and optimize Revenue Management, Digital Marketing and Sales deployment and resource utilization at the property level
- Strategize and introduce new revenue generating or cost saving business sources and channels for Revenue Management, Sales, Digital Marketing and Distribution at Brands and Management Companies to cultivate and activate new revenue streams
- Provide strategic leadership for Ashford Portfolio of Hotels’ above-property Digital Marketing support (Marriott Field Marketing, Hyatt Field Marketing, Hilton ECG, Remington Digital Marketing)
- Provide expertise on marketing plans (paid search, earned media, social media, promotions, partnerships) to meet portfolio sales and financial objectives and ensure returns consistent with Ashford's financial metrics
- Measure, track and recommend best-in-class integrated marketing strategies across all mediums and device types
- Pricing, Yield and Sales Strategy integration into Distribution and Digital Marketing strategies
- Monitor group and transient pick-up and pace reports and communicate with the Asset Management team about upcoming gaps and needs
- Work with Analyst(s) to ensure accurate preparation and distribution of daily, weekly, monthly revenue reports
- Must be knowledgeable of all rates, room types and hotel products for individual assets within your portfolio
- Own special projects from creation, approval and implementation and support company-wide initiatives as needed
- Develop value-add relationships with external partners (e.g. OTA, Cvent, etc) and integrate best practices and initiatives across the portfolio
