Senior Director of Research

Our client is a leading global biotech company, dedicated to advancing technology to save lives through their cell therapy research. They are currently expanding due to their continuous success and funding. This position plays a key role in their research. The selected candidate will assume accountability to all research activity within his/her team, from project idealization to Development Candidate selection.

As a Senior Director, you will:

• Build and lead a talented team to develop novel technology and platforms for cell therapy.
• Act as a SME for the latest technology and development in cell therapy
• Develop research plans with high scientific rigor and good solutions to key issues.
• Collaborate with research teams in US, China, and Ireland for cross functional activities for advancement of cell therapy pipeline.

As a Senior Director, you will need:

• A Ph.D. or M.D with focus in immunology or cancer biology or related field
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in immunotherapy of cancer
• 6+ years of management experience in building and leading teams
• Experience in engineering, characterizations, and manipulation of immune effector cells, such as T Cell and NK cells.
• Experience working with CAR-T therapy animal models

Nice to have:

• Experience with allogenic cell therapy research
• Ability to speak mandarin
• Patents and/or publications in CAR-T cell therapy and platform tech development
