Summary
The role of Senior Director, Human Resources Business Partner is a strategic role. The Senior Director, HR Business Partner supports the organization's senior leaders, driving HR strategies enterprise-wide. They work closely with the Business providing hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice on people-related solutions: talent management, employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, and training, creating business plans to address these situations thoroughly. The Senior Director, HR Business Partner plays an essential role in establishing and driving HR programs/talent initiatives forward within the organization, while always ensuring they align with the company's business objectives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
▪ Align the Human Resources Initiative and Strategies built to drive the business forward to the organization's operational agenda.
▪ Partners with Senior Leadership in the organization to
provide HR guidance on people initiatives to the drive business.
▪ Act as a strategic thought partner for the organization to create business plans and solutions.
▪ Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the Business and HR groups to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
▪ Manages and resolves complex employee relations and HR issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
▪ Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
▪ Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to management and leadership (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
▪ Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
▪ Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
▪ Works closely with all HR teams to identify HR initiatives and strategies and connect those to the business needs of the company. Focused on company growth.
▪ Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
▪ Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
▪ Performs other related duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Senior Director, HR Business Partner manages an additional Business Partner.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 years of experience resolving employee relations issues. 3-4 years of management experience.
- Deep knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation
practices, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state
respective employment laws.
- Prior Workday experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
