DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Senior Fashion Designer. In this role, you will be responsible for creating innovative and trendsetting collections. Your role will involve leading the design process, translating creative visions into practical designs, and ensuring that the products meet the brand's aesthetic, quality, and market requirements. The ideal candidate will be an expert in fashion design with confidence to lead design teams across all categories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Design

• Conceptualize and develop four innovative collections per year, as well as capsule collections for department stores
• Explore new and unique silhouettes, materials, colors, and patterns to differentiate the brand's collections

Fashion Graphics

• Collaborate with the fashion design team to produce visual comps and mock-ups showcasing how designs will appear on clothing and accessories items
• Designing, sketching and creating spec sheets for every style, including all technical information clearly detailed for either domestic patternmakers and/or offshore factories for development

Trend Research And Analysis

• Stay abreast of the latest fashion trends, fabric innovations, and design techniques
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation

Product Development

• Develop detailed tech packs and design specifications for prototypes and production
• Prepare development packages for licensee including color, print, raw materials where needed
• Upholding the design integrity and high-quality execution of the brand in a timely manner throughout the entire development process

Quality And Fit

• Lead fittings and update tech pack construction and BOMs as needed
• Ensure that all designs meet high-quality standards and adhere to fit and sizing guidelines
• Work closely with the product development team to resolve any fit or construction issues during the development process

Collaboration

• Working closely with the Creative Director to interpret and develop key seasonal color and concept ideas in innovative but commercial ways
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product developers, merchandisers, and suppliers, to ensure seamless execution of design concepts

Timeline Management

• Work closely with the creative director to meet design and development timelines for each season and drop

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of experience as a Fashion Designer
• Bachelor’s Degree in fashion design
• Ability to do sketches by hand
• Excellent design and conceptual skills
• Excellent sense of style and color
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines
• Must be technically skilled and capable to make all comments during fit sessions
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box
• Outstanding communication and people skills
• Proficient in Photoshop, illustrator, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat or other related technical experience
