Job Title: Senior Data Privacy Engineer, IT Analytics (Contractor posting)

Location: DFW Headquarters Building 8 (DFW-SV8)

What You'll Do

  • Be part of the privacy technology team. Work closely with data privacy office, data application teams and product owners to design, implement and support data privacy, governance and analytics solutions for a better regulatory compliance and technology risk management
  • Implement data privacy and data engineering solutions using Azure products and services: (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub/Service bus, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, PySpark, logic apps etc.,) and traditional data warehouse tools
  • Apply anonymization, deidentification, pseudonymization and other privacy preserving techniques to optimize privacy and utility
  • Perform multiple aspects involved in the development lifecycle – design, cloud engineering (Infrastructure, network, security, and administration)
  • Ensure systems are maintained and resilient against harms and threats
  • Develops integrations within Privacy, Cybersecurity and Governance platforms such as Data Catalog/Quality and Intelligence products
  • Provide technical leadership and collaborate within a team environment as well as work independently
  • Administer privacy by design frameworks, tools and policies like data retention and discovery using tools like BigID
  • Be a part of an Agile DevOps team that completely owns and supports their product
  • Implement batch and streaming data pipelines using cloud technologies
  • Leads development of coding standards, best practices and privacy and security guidelines
  • Mentors' others on technical and domain skills to create multi-functional teams
  • Collaborates with Cybersecurity, Governance, and IT engineers and help the Technical Leads to implement privacy regulations and best practices across the enterprise

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
    • 5 years software solution development using agile, DevOps, operating in a product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
    • 5+ years data analytics experience using SQL
    • 3+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (prefer Microsoft Azure)
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    • 3+ years of implementing software solution best practices, building frameworks, integrations, functions or libraries to enable self-service options
    • Data Privacy or Cybersecurity related experience
    • Combination of Development, Administration & Support experience in several of the following tools/platforms:
      • Programming/Scripting: Strong Python, Spark, Unix, SQL, APIs, Java
      • Data Platforms: Teradata, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake, Cassandra
      • Azure Cloud Technologies: Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, logic apps and Azure Functions
      • CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform
      • BI Analytics Tool Stack: Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, and Grafana
      • Other tools and integrations: BigID (or any data discovery tools), Alation (or any data catalog tools), Data quality tools/integrations
Skills, Licenses & Certifications

    • Expertise in Azure Technology stack for data management, data ingestion, capture, processing, curation and creating consumption layers
    • Expertise in providing practical direction within the Azure Native cloud services
    • Any Azure, Databricks, Pyspark, Microsoft certifications (preferred)
    • Any Cybersecurity or Privacy related trainings or certifications (preferred)
