Senior Data Architect

Summary:

Enhance Health is seeking a Senior Data Architect. This role is crucial in shaping our data governance framework, ensuring data quality, data security, and driving a positive data culture across the organization. The Senior Data Architect will be instrumental in developing and implementing robust data governance policies and practices. This individual will collaborate with both business and IT teams to ensure our data assets meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data architecture, data governance, and data security, along with a passion for fostering a data-centric culture. This position will report directly to the VP of Business Intelligence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Governance Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the organization.
• Data Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures that support business objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure data architecture and practices comply with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA.
• Data Quality Management: Establish and enforce data quality standards and practices, including data cleansing, validation, and monitoring processes.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business and IT teams to understand data requirements and ensure alignment of data initiatives with business goals.
• Data Culture Advocacy: Promote a positive data culture by educating and engaging stakeholders on the importance of data governance, data quality, and data-driven decision-making.
• Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend data-related technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data architectures, data flows, and data models.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in data architecture and data governance
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server). Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery). Understanding of ETL processes and tools (e.g., Python, Airflow). Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security practices.
• Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data requirements and provide innovative solutions.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
