Job Overview:The Senior Criminal Defense Attorney will report to the Managing Criminal Defense Attorney and play a pivotal role in managing their caseload, client interactions, and collaboration with the Criminal Defense Team. Duties:Advise clients on their legal rights and meticulously prepare legal documents for their cases.Represent clients at pretrial hearings, offering expert advice on optimal strategies post-hearing.Oversee all court appearances, trials, motion drafting, witness interviews, and comprehensive legal research.Utilize in-depth knowledge of legal precedents to analyze potential case outcomes.Efficiently manage the workload of assigned cases, ensuring thorough attention to each.Provide comprehensive legal analysis to ascertain any potential case benefits.Gather supplementary evidence to bolster clients' cases or counter prosecution charges.Prepare clients thoroughly for depositions, establishing crucial case strategy goals and gathering pertinent information from key witnesses and experts. Requirements:4-5 years of experience in Criminal Defense, demonstrating proficiency in handling complex cases at the federal, state, and local levels.Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is mandatory.Exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with associates. Certifications:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the California State Bar.
