About You: You are a seasoned cost estimator with a passion for training and mentoring others. You have a proven track record of leading teams and producing high-quality deliverables. Your client-centric approach drives business growth, and you excel in technical writing and understanding client needs. You are proactive, resourceful, and thrive in a dynamic environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

Lead Advanced Cost Estimates and Change Orders:

  • Scope projects and address client concerns promptly.
  • Utilize resources effectively, ensuring staff hours are within limits.
  • Oversee project estimators, providing daily reviews, technical support, pricing review, quality control, and deliverables.
  • Ensure technical accuracy and effective communication with clients.

Client Management:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of clients and associated projects.
  • Maintain professional communication and participate in client-facing activities.
  • Develop strong client relationships and ensure excellent CPARS/PPQ ratings.
  • Negotiate add-on services effectively.

Team Leadership:

  • Mentor and train technical staff, fostering a professional and enjoyable work environment.
  • Attend business development events and contribute to client acquisition efforts.

Technical Writing and Special Projects:

  • Produce project write-ups, reports, studies, and technical documents.
  • Lead special projects like CSRA, research studies, and PACES estimates.
  • Support proposal development with necessary technical information.

Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Ensure high client satisfaction with exceptional CPARS/PPQ ratings.
  • Mentor team members to achieve their KPIs and maintain project profitability.

Coordination and Documentation:

  • Collaborate with project managers, operations, and business development teams.
  • Maintain project files and contact lists in SharePoint as per HPG standards.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Engineering, Construction Management, or Economics.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, particularly in projects exceeding $250 million.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring skills within an estimating team.
  • Strong client management and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in MCACES MII, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Crystal Ball, OnScreen Takeoff, and other estimating software.
  • Advanced Excel and technical writing skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Professional Cost Estimating Certification (CCP or CEP).
  • Membership in professional organizations like AFCEA, SAME, etc.
