About The Role

As the Senior Copywriter, you will be responsible for crafting persuasive and effective copy that aligns with Motive's brand voice and resonates with our target audience. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you will translate business objectives and user needs into compelling written content across various platforms. This role is crucial in developing impactful and scalable messaging that reinforces Motive's brand identity. In joining our growing brand studio, you’ll be the expert in owning our messaging, writing across deliverables, and driving creative excellence.

This role is remote and based in the US.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with marketing strategists, designers, and business stakeholders to conceptualize and create engaging copy for a variety of channels, including video, campaigns, advertising, events, marketing materials, and more.
  • Maintain and uphold the consistency of Motive's brand voice across all communication channels.
  • Produce high-quality, error-free written content from concept to execution, ensuring it aligns with brand guidelines and resonates with the target audience.
  • Use data and insights to inform copy decisions, evaluate performance, and derive customer insights that contribute to business success.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, accessible language for diverse audiences.
  • Effectively communicate and present copy concepts to internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and other team members to ensure alignment between visual and written elements.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in copywriting, with a focus on digital platforms and marketing materials.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or other word processing software.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a strong grasp of grammar and style.
  • Strong understanding of messaging hierarchy.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, content creators, and engineers.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, marketing techniques, and communication strategies.
  • A customer-centric mindset, understanding the principles of user-centered design.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working in a remote team setting.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and HTML is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Always paying attention to details, small things don’t slip by
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Always willing to advocate for your ideas
  • Self-driven to succeed and comfortable executing at a high level while working in an entirely remote team setting.

Pay Transparency

Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units. The Base Compensation Range For This Role Is

$94,000—$143,000 USD
