Senior Coordinator, Business Development and Strategic Investments

The NFL Business Development & Strategic Investments group oversees the strategy, distribution, and licensing of NFL content across all media platforms as well as principal investment initiatives, including the NFL’s Strategic Investment Fund (32 Equity). Its core mandate is to grow the business of the National Football League by distributing content in a manner that reaches and engages both new and existing fans, while increasing revenue and creating long-term strategic value for the 32 member clubs. The group is also responsible for identifying and executing against investment and equity value creation opportunities that meet the NFL’s strategic criteria. The group’s work includes market and competitive analysis, new and existing business development, business and rights valuation, deal negotiation, ongoing partnership management, activations at NFL tentpole events (e.g., Super Bowl, Draft) and investing. The group is highly visible to executive leadership and ownership of the NFL.

Role Overview

The Senior Coordinator will assist with managing a portfolio of existing partnerships as well as help identify and pursue new growth opportunities to distribute NFL content across various media platforms. This role requires a confident self-starter who can combine a base understanding of the media landscape with a comprehensive foundation in business analysis, project management, and partnership communications.

Responsibilities include producing financial analysis, presentations and summaries for executives and external partners, leading regular meetings with business partners and internal stakeholders, monitoring weekly and monthly operational targets, and thoughtfully managing up and down to communicate updates and drive business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Play a meaningful role in all aspects of NFL media partnerships, from working with large-scale existing partners to identifying potential new business partners
  • Coordinate daily activity with existing media partners to ensure that all contractual commitments are fulfilled, promoting successful collaborations across digital, LSB, audio, and publishing platforms
  • Support additional elements of partnership management such as partner creative approvals and on-site hospitality and coordination at NFL tentpole events
  • Conduct financial analyses and proposals for new revenue opportunities
  • Prepare market and deal updates to senior executives and team ownership
  • Support League-wide strategic projects that create value for NFL owned and operated assets
  • Create presentations and memos to provide strategic insights to executives inside and outside the organization
  • Build strong working relationships with internal cross-functional groups (e.g., Marketing, Legal, Finance, Sales, Sponsorship, etc.) and serve as a link to other NFL departments
  • Contribute to positive group culture to foster high performance, efficient processes, and ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications

  • 4-Year Bachelor’s degree in business or economics preferred
  • 3-5 years of work experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, media, or partnership management
  • Experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, and strategic analysis
  • Understanding of trends and business models within media, entertainment, and sports
  • Deep interest in sports media, with an ability to relate to the user experience of sports fans and visitors to NFL Media properties
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate details, with a passion for building relationships with key partners
  • Attention to detail, especially when multi-tasking across multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Robust time-management and organizational skills, including the ability to adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to efficiently produce written materials in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week. This position will require additional hours as well.

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Salary

$75,000 — $105,000 USD
