Job Overview
We are seeking a talented Senior Contract Analyst with expertise in data warehousing to support our organization in negotiating and executing contract extensions with key vendors. The successful candidate will have a strong background in data management and analytics, with experience in assessing the performance of data warehouse solutions and optimizing contractual arrangements to meet evolving business needs.
Responsibilities
Contract Evaluation: Evaluate existing contracts with data warehouse vendors to identify opportunities for extension or renegotiation. Assess the performance of data warehouse solutions against contractual requirements and business objectives, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
Vendor Relationship Management: Maintain regular communication and collaboration with data warehouse vendors to understand their capabilities, roadmap, and performance metrics. Advocate for the organization's interests and negotiate favorable terms and conditions for contract extensions
Contract Negotiation: Participate in the negotiation of contract extensions with data warehouse vendors, ensuring that agreements align with organizational objectives, budgetary constraints, and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with legal counsel, finance, and other stakeholders to finalize contract terms and mitigate risks
Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of data warehouse vendors against contractual obligations and service level agreements. Identify and address any issues or discrepancies in performance, working collaboratively with vendors to implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement
Cost Analysis and Optimization: Conduct cost analysis and modeling to assess the financial implications of contract extensions and identify opportunities for cost optimization. Work closely with finance and procurement teams to develop cost-effective strategies for extending data warehouse contracts without compromising quality or service levels
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal stakeholders, including IT leaders, data architects, business analysts, and end-users, to gather feedback and requirements for data warehouse services. Ensure that contract extensions align with the evolving needs of the organization and support strategic initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
7+ years of experience in contract management, vendor management, or procurement, with a focus on data warehouse solutions
Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, technologies, and best practices, with experience in evaluating and optimizing data warehouse performance
Proven track record of successful contract negotiation, with the ability to drive favorable outcomes and manage vendor relationships effectively
Analytical mindset, with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Experience with cost analysis and financial modeling is desirable
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional Contracts Manager - CPCM) are a plus
