We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our team and provide exceptional support to our valued soda ash mining client. Job Description:

The Senior Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities and managing a team of Field Construction Coordinators. This role requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of construction management, exceptional leadership abilities, and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership and Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Field Construction Coordinators, ensuring they have the necessary support and resources to succeed.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  1. Project Oversight:
  • Oversee the development and execution of Construction Work Packages (CWPs) to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Monitor and control project schedules, budgets, and resources to achieve project milestones and financial targets.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure field operations are progressing as planned and to address any issues promptly.
  1. Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize project efficiency and performance.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
  1. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure all construction activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Implement rigorous quality control procedures and conduct regular inspections to uphold project quality.
  • Ensure all documentation, including permits, licenses, and contracts, are accurately maintained and up-to-date.
  1. Communication and Reporting:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present detailed project reports, including progress updates, financial status, and risk assessments, to senior management and clients.
  • Facilitate effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and clients.
  1. Resource Management:
  • Oversee the allocation and management of project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources to optimize project productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  1. Job Safety Oversight and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Ensure all team members and subcontractors are trained in and comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Extensive experience overseeing large-scale construction projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, practices, and industry standards.
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Project Management (PMP) or Construction Management (CCM).
  • Master’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software.
  • Experience with complex and high-value construction projects.
