We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Estimator to join the dynamic team of Estimators and contribute to their upcoming projects.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the construction process, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for the projects. You will work closely with the team to prepare detailed cost estimates, analyze project requirements, and provide valuable insights into the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of the projects. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience, with a strong background in correctional, industrial, education, and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare Detailed Cost Estimates: Develop comprehensive cost estimates for various stages of the project, including preconstruction, hard bids, negotiated bids, and value engineering.
Quantity Surveys: Perform accurate quantity surveys and material take-offs.
Subcontractor Pricing: Obtain and analyze subcontractor pricing, ensuring competitive and accurate bids.
Cost Analysis: Review historical cost data and market conditions to provide accurate and competitive pricing.
Project Documentation: Maintain up-to-date records of bids, correspondence, and contract documents.
Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
Feasibility Studies: Provide construction feasibility and value engineering counsel.
Bid Management: Prepare bid invitations, scope bid packages, and manage the subcontractor prequalification process.
Client Relations: Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, design teams, and vendors.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of commercial construction experience.
Proven experience working on correctional, industrial, education, and commercial projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in construction estimating software and tools.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
