Senior / Chief Estimator

My client are a leading heavy civil site contractor based out of their head office in Stamford, CT. They specialize in all aspects of heavy civil site works, including large scale excavations, foundations, site work and SOE.

Your New Role

Due to their continued success in securing new projects they are continuing their growth and seeking to add a Chief or Senior Civil Estimator to their team. To be successful in this role you will be required to:

• Solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare HCSS comparison sheets.
• Prepare documents for bid and proposal submission.
• Prepare pre-bid or green sheet estimate.
• Set up Bid in HCSS.
• Review bids and price-up items.
• Timeline equipment.
• Conduct and review detailed take offs.
• Manage team of more junior Estimators.

What you'll need to succeed

• BS in Civil Engineering or related subject.
• 10+ years experience in heavy civil construction working for a general contractor.
• Experience / knowledge of bidding on public sector projects in CT & NY.
• Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid would be preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
