Job Title: Senior Chemist

Location: New Jersey

I am currently seeking a Senior Chemist for a leading Personal Care Contract Manufacturer, based in New Jersey.

In this role you will be responsible for technical aspects of Research and Development categories. You must manage and maintain a safe laboratory environment.

Essential requirements

• Personal Care Contract Manufacturing experience, experience in cosmetics, OTC, skincare formulation experience.
• Minimal Bachelors in Chemistry, Biology or related field of Science with 5-8 years or Master’s Degree with 3-5 years related work experience in cosmetic/personal care formulation experience

Responsibilities/Duties

• Oversee daily lab activity.
• Be able to manage projects simultaneously.
• Independently complete product development projects from inception to completion (Published formula) to meet launch deadlines, with support from director as needed.
• Identifies raw materials and technologies suitable for product development.
• Monitor the quality and conformity of formulas.
• Work cross functionally with marketing, product development, analytical testing facilities, process development and manufacturing.
• Develop and refine formulas; performs product stability on all formulas with knowledge of shade matching the following categories and resolves stability issues.
