Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Senior Retail Buyer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the sourcing, selection, and purchase of merchandise that aligns with our brand identity and drives profitability. You will play a key role in identifying customer trends, forecasting demand, and negotiating competitive pricing with vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute buying strategies to meet customer needs and maximize sales.
• Research and identify new and emerging trends in the retail landscape.
• Source and evaluate potential vendors and manufacturers.
• Negotiate contracts to secure the best pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
• Manage and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
• Analyze sales data and buying patterns to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels.
• Oversee the selection and purchase of merchandise, ensuring it meets quality standards and aligns with brand guidelines.
• Collaborate with merchandising and marketing teams to develop a cohesive product assortment.
• Manage and analyze budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and present purchasing reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Retail Merchandising, or a related field (preferred).
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in retail buying, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong understanding of retail market trends and consumer buying behavior.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and retail buying software (e.g., [Retail Buying Software Examples]).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
