Senior Buyer, Advanced Programs

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the deliverables for new and series production programs, ensuring timely sourcing & procurement of materials, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to align with program targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Management: Lead the procurement activities for new and series production programs, ensuring all deliverables are met according to the project timeline and budget.
• Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the best terms and conditions for the company.
• Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or delivery timelines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Advanced Engineering, Cost Estimating & Commodity Buyers to develop costs on components where data is limited.
• Risk Management: Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted production.
• NPI/New Program Sourcing: Support the investigation of new designs/technologies on future programs and coordinate with the Commodity Buyers.

Requirements:

• 5-8 years of purchasing raw materials OR program purchasing experience.
• Tier-1 Automotive experience is highly preferred.
• Project Management experience is highly preferred.
