Senior Business Systems Analyst (REMOTE OR MA BASED)

Our Personal Lines Technology department is currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our rating team in our Worcester MA location or in a remote or hybrid work arrangement.

This is a full time, exempt role.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Personal Lines Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) serves as a primary contact for any questions related to how the system works from both a business and technical perspective.

I n this role, the Personal Lines Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) leverages their extensive IT expertise and deep business acumen to create and deploy technology solutions that align with business requirements . They possess skills in various applications and platforms, particularly those used for implementing rate changes in Personal Lines.

The Senior BSA may also specialize in a specific set of technologies or applications an organization uses to deliver business solutions.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Manage weekly implementation of speed to market rate changes
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand business requirements.
  • Complete precheck lists to verify all necessary criteria are met before proceeding.
  • Conduct technical peer reviews to maintain a high standard of accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform audits of weekly rate changes to detect any discrepancies or issues promptly.
  • Uphold quality assurance throughout all reviews and audit processes.
  • Systems Knowledge: M aintain and apply specific knowledge of information systems elements and their application to developing solutions for business functions/processes

WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY:

  • Requires 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Insurance Industry knowledge.
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future (ie. must be a US citizen or Greencard holder)
  • Ability to work in a fast paced or stressful environment
  • Experience in identifying and defining business/technical requirements and processes using business analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, organization, project, and time management skills; ability to multi-task and meet all deadlines with a quality product.
  • Detail oriented and committed to a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
  • Ability to quickly troubleshoot problems that may arise.
  • Skilled in applying knowledge of multiple systems within Hanover’s technology portfolio.
  • Self-motivation, innovation, collaboration, decision making, adaptability, creativity, organization
