Senior Business Development Manager - North America - Flavors & Functional Ingredients
The Business Development Manager will spearhead the growth of the North American business by crafting and implementing a robust strategy across targeted categories.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Development: Formulate and execute business strategies for various categories to achieve growth and profit objectives.
- Division Growth: Drive the expansion and profitability of the North American Division within the designated categories.
- Opportunity Identification: Utilize strategic insight to identify new opportunities, prospect customers, and explore innovative business models.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as a strategic partner to the Sales team, leveraging strong business acumen to actively engage with customers.
- Team Leadership: Guide and direct a cross-functional team comprising Applications, Creation, Marketing, and Consumer Insight to ensure the successful execution of strategic initiatives.
- Foster Collaboration: Encourage and facilitate effective team collaboration.
What You Bring
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of experience in a business development or applications role within a related field/industry.
- Skillset: Exceptional cross-functional skills, teamwork, strategic relationship building, and communication skills.
- Customer-Centric Approach: A strong focus on customer needs, excellent project management and presentation abilities.
- Adaptability: Proficiency in navigating a matrix organization and a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, managing multiple projects and initiatives effectively.
- Growth Mindset: A willingness to learn, challenge norms, and embrace new opportunities for growth.
- Travel Readiness: Ability to travel approximately 25% domestically, or as required.
