Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced CPG Senior Brand Manager who is passionate about strategically driving brand growth, actioning consumer insights and delivering innovative products and marketing campaigns to grow a major strategic Bimbo Bakeries USA category – Premium Sliced Bread. Brands under your responsibility would include Arnold, Brownberry, Oroweat, Rustik, and a number of smaller and regional brands. You will lead cross-functional teams and be the voice of the consumer to develop brand strategy, innovation roadmap, digital media strategy, and brand communication campaigns for Premium Bread.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Execute development of brand portfolio strategy in close coordination with Senior Marketing Director, Media, Analytics and Content (MAC) team, Innovation team, Consumer Insights team, Research & Development (R&D), Manufacturing, Business Units and Key Customer Teams.
  • End-to-end management of consumer opportunities for the brand, inclusive of strategic opportunity identification, market positioning, partnership on program / communication development/ innovation strategy and tracking of metrics.Lead brand strategy execution including annual brand plans and strategic plans including five-year innovation and communication vision.
  • Embrace the consumer, collaborating with the insights and research teams to uncover and analyze consumer insights to drive brand growth.
  • High level of comfort pulling and analyzing data from sources such as Circana and Margin Miner is required.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to generate business insights from diverse data sources and use that data to convey compelling selling stories/solutions for the sales force.
  • Be front-line obsessed and willing to travel 20% to stay engaged with the front-line and bakeries, where the most important aspects of our business are happening.
  • Be a sharp operator with a founder's mentality to manage brand budgets efficiently, not accepting waste and unnecessary spending.
  • Collaborate with creative agency partners and content strategists and creative strategy to create award-winning communication that wins both the hearts and minds of our consumers.
  • Collaborate with the MAC team on annual media plans informed by performance metrics and Marketing Mix Analysis.
  • Collaborate with Omnichannel team to build a cohesive go to market strategy for key marketing initiatives that will drive results in retail and ecommerce that ladders up to the brand’s overall strategy.
  • Ensure operational capabilities and value cross-functional and diverse perspectives by leading steering calls with key cross functional partners.
  • Be a cross-functional leader, partnering alongside with innovation team, manufacturing and R&D to generate a pipeline of short and long-term new products.
  • Collaborate on the development of innovation pipeline with innovation team including brand design, product strategy and communication campaigns.
  • Lead Superior Quality Always in market testing, ensuring we are delivering the best quality products to our consumers.
  • Skilled at development and execution of presentations, sell sheets and field communications.

Education And Work History

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field. MS or MBA preferred. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
  • Minimum of 7+ years’ marketing experience, CPG preferred.
