The Senior Benefits Analyst supports employer-sponsored health & welfare, retirement and leave of absence programs by providing analytical and administrative support to the associates, HR business partners, and the benefits team under the direction of the Corporate Benefits Manager. The position is responsible for providing accurate, timely, pertinent information and recommendations for associates and management.


Responsibilities

  • Serve as subject matter expert on health & welfare, retirement and leave of absence eligibility, plan provisions, and policies.
  • Monitors and manages benefits ticketing system, answering questions timely.
  • Investigates benefit issues and works with vendors to resolve.
  • Assists with new-hire orientations and open enrollment processes.
  • Partner with third-party benefits administrator to assist with benefit eligibility and enrollment processes.
  • Routinely conduct audits to ensure plans are administered appropriately.
  • Review vendor error reports and resolve discrepancies.
  • Distributes vendor reports to properties as required.
  • Assists with the coordination of wellness initiatives such as blood drives, health fairs, etc.
  • Responds to Medical Support Notices.
  • Collaborate with payroll to ensure proper payment and refunds for all benefits.
  • Serve as the primary contact for third-party leave administration and disability vendors.
  • Ensure accurate eligibility and enrollment of associates in the 401(k) Retirement plan.
  • Ensure 401(k) contributions are transmitted correctly to plan administrator.
  • Reconcile, track and process monthly invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Analyze current processes, identify and implement process improvements where appropriate.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in HR or related field preferred, but experience and/or other training/certification may be substituted for education requirements.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of benefits-related experience.
  • Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to benefits and retirement plans.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Exemplary customer service.
  • Must be able to work both independently and within a team.
  • Must have the ability to handle sensitive situations and keep information confidential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, with a strong background in excel.
  • Experience working with UKG/UltiPro.
