Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, this position is responsible for planning, directing, organizing and executing audits of operations and functions of Bank of Hawaii Corporation. If applicable or appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

Responsibilities

Senior Audit Associate - This role is responsible for independent, objective assurance, and consulting activities over financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operations. Responsibilities include completing audit fieldwork in accordance within department and industry standards via documented work papers and within assigned budgets. This also includes effectively communicating with audit team and auditee to identify and report internal control weaknesses and value added recommendations for inefficient and ineffective risk management, control, and governance processes. Additionally, this role will lead small audits including developing audit testing plan, executing and/or reviewing audit fieldwork, and completing final reporting and administrative activities including special and strategic business reviews. Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Additionally, this role will lead small to midsize audits including developing audit testing plan, executing and/or reviewing audit fieldwork, and completing final reporting and administrative activities including special and strategic business reviews. Bachelor's degree and minimum of 3 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Audit Consultant - This role is responsible for independent, objective assurance, and consulting activities over financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and operations. Responsibilities include completing audit fieldwork in accordance within department and industry standards via documented work papers and within assigned budgets. This also includes effectively communicating with audit team and auditee to identify and report internal control weaknesses and value added recommendations for inefficient and ineffective risk management, control, and governance processes. Additionally, this role will lead midsize to large audits including developing audit testing plan, executing and/or reviewing audit fieldwork, and completing final reporting and administrative activities including special and strategic business reviews. Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with requisite competencies. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

This position requires use of a personal computer and other standard office equipment (typewriter, fax, copier, calculator, telephone, etc).
