Job Description

Under the direction of the Manager, this position is responsible for analyzing, coordinating, and implementing technical solutions for trust operational business

needs. This position works with the trust operations and trust systems teams to streamline current processes, develop new products, applications and processes, plan conversions and recommend/implement changes to enhance operational effectiveness. If applicable or appropriate, assists in business unit’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, regulatory requirements and Bank policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to Fair Banking, Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations, Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and coordinates projects to create efficiencies through automation or redesign of current processes. Develops and recommends procedures for the various business units affected by any system changes. Assists in the implementation of new products and processes. Oversees system projects from initial definition through end-user post implementation support. Assists in designing and documenting process workflow and make recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Analyzes business needs and develops requirements through interviews with product managers, business units and trust staff. Works with the trust system staff to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain various databases/reports/data extracts to meet clients’ needs. Assists in managing data to support processes or policy decisions.
  • Oversees the daily management and support of the trust accounting system and other related systems. Develops and maintains a positive relationship with the various


vendors and with other internal/external system users. Monitors performance and support of vendors to ensure timely, efficient, and acceptable service according to the

respective service level contract/agreement. Maintains current documentation (e.g. financial statements, SOC report, etc.) that conforms to the bank’s vendor management guidelines.

  • Ensures systems acceptance testing is completed within department standards. Reports testing problems, tracks resolution of reported problems and verifies that


problems are corrected.

  • Oversees the work of junior staff. Provides direct training, guidance and mentoring to acquire a thorough knowledge of the department operations and processes. Develops training materials and conducts user training. Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on system functions and core application(s) for the division.
  • Maintains the current business recovery plan for systems administration. Performs and documents required recovery testing that has been coordinated with the respective departments and vendors.
  • Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned. This position requires use of a personal computer and other standard office equipment.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution in computer science, finance or accounting or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 to 6 years in information technology, finance, accounting, securities or related field or at least 3 years as a Trust Operations Analyst.
  • Technical Skills: Demonstrated proficiency with personal computers in a networked environment and Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint) or similar software. Knowledge of or ability to use Bank software and systems. Must have understanding of application integration and thorough understanding of SQL programming and database applications. Must be proficient in SQL, Access, Visual Basic, Excel and SharePoint.
  • Other Job Qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities and effective writing and verbal communications skills. Must have project management and ability to lead projects. Must be able to identify priorities, meet all deadlines and work simultaneously on several tasks and/or projects. Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work independently within a team environment. Able to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
