POSITION SPECIFICATION

Shine Associates, LLC has been retained to search, identify and recruit a Senior Analyst, Debt Capital Markets on behalf of our client (‘Company’). This person will report directly to the Vice President, Debt Capital Markets. This candidate will be located in the Boston, MA office.

SENIOR ANALYST, DEBT CAPITAL MARKETS

The Senior Analyst, Debt Capital Markets is involved in all aspects of financing for the Company. The primary focus will be to work closely with the SVP and VP during loan transactions and provide overall support and analysis for the firm’s loan portfolio. The successful candidate will proactively manage priorities across multiple transactions/projects while building relationships within and outside the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financing packages for capital sources including detailed underwriting analysis and presentation material with a focus on multifamily and industrial properties
• Develop, prepare, and present recommendations to the Debt Capital Markets team and Portfolio Management.
• Compile, analyze and evaluate property-level financials and market information such as: rent rolls, operating statements, leases, and third party reports
• Coordinate and manage the loan closing process
• Participate in the review and analysis of existing and proposed loan documents
• Participate in dialogue with lenders when marketing the financing opportunity and negotiating key terms and conditions.
• Responsible for coordinating loan servicing and improving servicing processes
• Work closely with other departments within the company including: Accounting, Legal, Portfolio/Asset Management, Acquisitions, Operations, Tax)
  
  

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree - a concentration in Finance or Economics is preferred
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in the financing of commercial real estate
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, presentation, and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail while balancing time management
• Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize across multiple projects
• Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic
