A global-based healthcare company is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their team in a Remote capacity. The Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist will play a pivotal role within the revenue cycle management team, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely billing and reimbursement of services from diverse insurance payers and patients. This critical position demands meticulous attention to detail in managing unpaid patient accounts and executing appeals in accordance with multi-state and federal insurance regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Accounts Receivable (AR) for assigned clients.
  • Handle escalated accounts from Patient Account Specialists or client requests.
  • Responsible for comprehensive account follow-up and collections, including processing appeals.
  • Update patient demographics and insurance information in relevant systems.
  • Research and resolve unpaid or denied claims.
  • Monitor claims for missing information, authorizations, and control numbers (ICN/DCN).
  • Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) for payments or adjustments to resolve claims.
  • Communicate with payers via phone or written correspondence to secure claim payments.
  • Adhere to guidelines for prioritization, timely filing deadlines, and notation protocols within designated systems.
  • Obtain necessary medical documentation required by third-party insurance carriers.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information in accordance with insurance collection guidelines and corporate policies.
  • Analyze accounts to determine appropriate actions for resolution.
  • Collaborate with management to reduce aging of accounts through effective verbal and written communication.
  • Work with payers to identify reasons for claim denials, correct and reprocess claims promptly for reimbursement.
  • Document collection activities accurately and comprehensively in appropriate systems.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Revenue Cycle experience
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Solid problem solving skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
