The Role:

Jetty Extracts is seeking a Senior AR Manager to support our out-of-state growth. The Senior Accounts Receivable Manager will develop and implement a robust accounts receivable framework, ensuring accurate and efficient payment receipt and meticulous transaction recording within the company's financial systems. The manager will maintain constant communication with customers to resolve payment issues, collaborate with the sales team to establish terms, and generate and publish aging reports, expected cash collections, DSO, and delinquency rates.

In addition to core receivables operations, the manager will establish stringent reporting protocols and maintain communication channels across the organization, acting as a crucial link between customers, the sales department, and executive leadership. This role will ensure clear financial controls and guidelines, promoting transparency and data-driven decision-making.

This position is essential for maintaining the company’s financial health and regulatory compliance. The manager must stay updated on industry regulations, particularly in the cannabis sector, and continuously enhance receivable processes. Their strategic oversight and proactive management of compliance, financial accuracy, and interdepartmental communication will support the company's financial stability and growth in a dynamic market.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Receivables Process: Oversee the entire accounts receivable process, from invoicing to payment collection.
  • Payment Processing: Process incoming payments and manage customer account reconciliations.
  • Aging Report Management: Prepare and review accounts receivable aging reports to monitor outstanding balances and identify delinquent accounts.
  • Collections: Implement and manage collection strategies to ensure timely receipt of payments and reduce bad debt.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing billing issues, payment inquiries, and other receivable-related concerns.
  • Compliance: Ensure all accounts receivable activities comply with federal, state, and local cannabis regulations.
  • Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts receivable.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial records.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Audit Coordination: Work with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation and support during audits.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to manage receivables efficiently.
  • Cross Functional Partnership: Communicate weekly with the sales team regarding account statuses, holds, and other important information.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounts receivable management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in the cannabis industry is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, particularly related to accounts receivable. Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
