Senior Accounting Manager in West Palm, Beach, Fla

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments, to ensure timely and precise financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, review journal entries, analyze account balances, and investigate any discrepancies.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring they are accurate and comply with GAAP or IFRS.
• Perform financial, variance, and trend analyses to identify areas for improvement and enhance financial performance.
• Assist in creating annual budgets and forecasts, offering financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to protect assets, ensure regulatory compliance, and mitigate risks.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency within the finance function, implementing best practices and automation solutions.
• Support tax planning and compliance activities, including preparing tax returns, calculating provisions, and coordinating with external tax advisors.
• Coordinate and facilitate external audits and reviews, providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to junior accounting staff, ensuring their professional growth and adherence to accounting standards.
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with increasing responsibility.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations (GAAP or IFRS).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
• Must have integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in supervising or mentoring staff.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
