Responsibilities:
Manage, develop, and motivate team responsible for the recognition, allocation, and reporting of all purchasing volume.
Foster and build relationships with business partners within the organization; understand and anticipate challenges to support business needs.
Serve as liaison between accounting, category, and finance teams to confirm proper income recognition and contract compliance.
Ensure complete, timely, and accurate monthly financials and reporting.
Lead team through monthly closes processes including loading/validating data, account reconciliations, cash applications, and journal entries as needed.
Understand, implement, and adhere to proper accounting controls.
Provide standard and ad hoc reporting for internal and external customers.
Act as lead contact for external audit, responding to inquiries and reviewing deliverables.
Oversee business unit balance sheet, including monthly review, reporting package to corporate, and meetings.
Drive transformational process automation and improvements and set the tone for positive change management and strong morale, instilling ownership, and autonomy within team members.
Provide development and growth opportunities to the team, while also providing constructive feedback.
Complete special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
8+ years of accounting experience
3+ years of supplier / customer contract accounting experience
2+ years of supervisory experience
MBA or CPA certifications/candidate preferred
Proficiency with Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint
Experience with SAP, Essbase/Hyperion preferred
Experience within accounting at a large company (>$3B sales preferred)
