Senior Accounting Manager

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized leader to join our growing team as Senior Manager, Accounting. In this role, you will lead many aspects of accounting management for our branches, assisting month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and implementing efficient processes and controls. You will utilize your existing accounting skills and knowledge, learn new skills, and play a key role in guiding the growth of the accounting department.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Own core accounting responsibilities including month end close process, account reconciliation and financial and managerial reporting
  • Facilitate external audit reporting and review the auditors PBC schedules.
  • Develop, maintain and ensure policy, procedures and internal controls are updated in accordance to US GAAP
  • Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents in accordance with accounting procedures and policies.
  • Seek opportunities for process improvements and implement operational accounting efficiencies through improved policies and control enhancements.
  • Account for revenue under ASC 606. This includes identifying revenue issues both for executed and planned deals, interacting with the sales force and FP&A, understanding contracts and deliverables, maintaining fair value prices for Revvity products, and working in the system to defer revenue properly.
  • Reconcile deferred revenue and unbilled revenue, recognize royalty expense, and monitor accounts receivable balances to determine adequate reserves.
  • Performing monthly sales journal analysis to identify any problems in revenue recognition. Review Revenue transactions and work with the sales team to structure transactions. Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close for three legal entities including international entities.
  • Provide accounting support for NetSuite ERP system.
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting structure and all general ledger accounts.
  • Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.
  • Assist the Controller in the daily banking requirements.
  • Work with the Controller and external auditors to ensure a clean and timely year end audit.
  • Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.
  • Support Controller with special projects and workflow process improvements.
  • Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to participating in special projects, system improvements or ad hoc analyzes/projects as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 6+ years working as an accountant, auditor, or similar accounting-focused role
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field
  • Highly motivated and detail oriented
  • Analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience working with multi-entity/consolidating financial statements
  • Agile environment experience: Demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile work environment where priorities may shift rapidly, flexibility is essential. Experience working in cross-functional agile teams is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with US GAAP Accounting Principles and IFRS
  • Knowledge of NetSuite preferred
  • Public accounting experience, Big 4 accounting firm preferred
  • CPA preferred
  • US Citizenship required
