Job Description

Job Summary: The Sr. Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in the financial planning and analysis function, with a primary focus on financial reporting. This role requires a blend of strong analytical skills and technical expertise, including proficiency in SQL, to support data analysis and reporting initiatives. The successful candidate will collaborate with various departments to gather data, analyze financial trends, and produce comprehensive reports that guide strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare and distribute accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in financial reporting.

Data Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Use SQL to extract and manipulate data from various databases to support financial analysis and reporting.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

• Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide variance analysis.
• Support scenario analysis and long-term financial planning.

Process Improvement:

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to automate reporting processes and integrate financial systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments to gather necessary information for financial analysis and reporting.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions and strategic initiatives.

Ad-Hoc Analysis and Reporting:

• Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management.
• Support special projects and initiatives, providing financial insights and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field. Master's degree preferred
• 5 years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, Audit, or a combination
• Self-starter with strong communication skills and ability to be proactive
• Comfortable working with tight deadlines and alternating priorities
• 2 years of experience Agile, Project Management, or a combination
