Location: Boca Raton, FL (Onsite from day 1)
Type: Full-time (W2)
Salary range: $70K- $80K
Visa: USC, GC, and GC EAD.
Note: This position does not provide reimbursement for relocation expenses. Candidates will need to cover relocation costs at their own expense.
Job Description
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for our real estate management firm. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting, preferably with CPA certification, and extensive experience in the real estate management industry. This role requires strong leadership skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
Requirements:
BA/BS in Accounting is required. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar accounting role within the real estate management industry.
Demonstrated expertise in reviewing commercial leases and accounting for triple net (NNN) lease contracts.
Proven ability to manage the preparation of annual recovery billings and oversee the month-end close process.
Experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and analytical reports.
Familiarity with commercial leasing software, preferably Yardi, is a strong plus.
Skills:
Strong general accounting skills and familiarity with month-end close processes.
Ability to design and monitor internal controls effectively.
Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.
Experience in accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) management.
Knowledge of cash flow management, including preparation of cash flow forecasts.
Familiarity with collection processes and coordination with collection agencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all finance and accounting operations within the organization.
Prepare budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances to senior management.
Generate monthly financial statements for individual properties and the entire portfolio.
Supervise billing and monthly rent-up processes.
Manage all accounting operations, including AR, collections, and AP.
Coordinate with senior management and external accounting firms for annual tax return preparation.
Maintain loan schedules for outstanding property loans.
Managing preparation of CAM recovery billings
Managing/coordinating collection process with collection agencies and outside attorneys.
Reviewing and periodically updating internal control procedures to maintain and improve operational efficiencies to support portfolio
