The Senior Accountant will ensure timely and accurate completion of daily, weekly, periodic, and annual accounting and reporting functions for the assigned portfolio of hotels. Along with mentoring Junior colleagues.

  • Collaborate with the Accounting Team to perform general accounting duties, including month-end close processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Manage cash accounting functions, including cash flow forecasting, bank reconciliations, and bank account management activities.
  • Perform full General Ledger accounting for assigned hotels within the portfolio.
  • Responsible for performing sales and use tax reconciliation, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and presentation for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Provide support for internal and external audits, assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and gathering necessary documentation to ensure a smooth and successful audit process.
  • Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions by reviewing transactions, resolving discrepancies, and providing guidance to support staff.
  • Perform technical accounting research to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies, developing solutions, and implementing best practices to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of financial operations.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Qualifications

Education: College of higher-level education in Accounting or equivalent work-related experience

Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Accounting Field

Strong written and oral communication skills

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
