Our legacy is a commitment to forward-thinking and customer centric solutions, tailored to our partners and merchants within the hospitality industry. Together, our product lines achieve a full sit-to-stand customer experience for restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and others in the hospitality space.

Who We Are

We run on a rapidly growing and widely accepted business operating philosophy called, “EOS” (Entrepreneurial Operating System). In learning to utilize EOS, you will have the ability to drive growth and be an empowered decision maker, something that you can’t get in large, slow-moving organizations.

We strive to live our values every day and, in every way, and are looking for others who feel the same way:

  • We are ALL IN: committing wholeheartedly to a single vision and focused to achieve success for ALL involved - our employees, our partners, our vendors, our communities
  • We are HUMAN: grounded in accountability, genuineness, and the strength of our relationships and different perspectives
  • We DARE TO BE DIFFERENT: embracing a culture of fun and approachability, prioritizing our partners and team members first

Position Overview

The Finance Department at VersiTech is an expanding function within the company. The company has experienced rapid growth in a short period of time. We are seeking to shore up our accounting processes and implement financial planning and analysis functions. We need to “grow into our growth.” The Senior Accountant position will be key in helping solve day-to-day problems and working with the VP of Finance to execute the department’s long-term vision and near-term roadmap.

How will you make an impact in this role?

In this role, you’ll be responsible for critical thinking and problem solving, helping transition the Finance department from being in a reactive to a proactive state. This means you will work closely with the VP of Finance to identify key priorities each quarter and be responsible for driving execution of those priorities with the existing team. Together, we will enable the delivery of accurate information in a timely manner and the implementation of processes that reinforce the vision of the Finance team being partners to other departments in the business.

What will you be doing on a day-to-day basis?

  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable existing team of 4; this includes weekly 1:1s with team members
  • Resolve day-to-day bookkeeping issues that arise
  • Drive and participate in monthly closing procedures:
    • Refine and add-to closing procedures, as needed
    • Prepare month end schedules and journal entries
    • Provide oversite to other team members’ efforts
  • Deliver monthly budget to actual information for department heads
  • Work with VP of Finance to analyze and investigate differences in budget to actuals and forecasts
  • Assist in budget and forecasting processes
  • Identify gaps in current accounting systems and processes
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of a new accounting ERP and reporting tools
  • Oversee Sales Tax remittance
  • Oversee partner commission processes, working with the VP of Finance to gain incremental improvements while a long-term automated solution is built

You know you are successful when:

  • The Finance department delivers draft month-end close information by the 25th of each month and finalizes closing books by 45 days after month-end
  • Each team member is owning their function and you are coordinating their efforts
  • We smoothly transition from QuickBooks Online to a more mature accounting software
  • The Finance department has a reputation in the company for partnering with others well

Top Candidates will demonstrate the following:

  • 5-7 years of accounting and financial reporting experience in SaaS or FinTech, CPA is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel Skills with ability to analyze large sets of data
  • Experience in having 2+ direct reports with a desire to help coach and grow others
  • Experience working with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, or other comparable accounting software solutions. Experience working with SalesForce is a plus
  • Ability to see problems, evaluate their cause, and propose solutions to move forward
  • Detail oriented and focused on value added processes that are user-friendly.
  • Savvy at identifying tools that allow for scalable solutions to problems
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

This is a full-time, hybrid role based of VersiTech’s Atlanta office. There is an expectation of in-person meetings with the VP of Finance and HR at a minimum of once per week and the ability to participate in quarterly planning sessions in person.

We stand behind our colleagues and loved ones with benefits and programs that support one another’s holistic well-being. That means we prioritize physical, financial, and mental health through each stage of life. VersiTech benefits include:
