About The Role
Ogilvy is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to support a national food brand. This candidate will serve in a hybrid capacity: supporting day-to-day public relations efforts across consumer and corporate communications workstreams while also supporting the client’s corporate social channels. This is a hybrid role in Chicago, IL.

About The Role
Ogilvy is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Account Executive to support a national food brand. This candidate will serve in a hybrid capacity: supporting day-to-day public relations efforts across consumer and corporate communications workstreams while also supporting the client’s corporate social channels. This is a hybrid role in Chicago, IL.
What You’ll Do
PR Responsibilities
- Support the team with day-to-day client interaction
- Be the organizational center of projects – manage, problem solve and drive execution
- Provide support and mentorship to junior team members to contribute to their growth
- Develop materials such as press releases, pitches and media strategies
- Build, maintain and oversee media lists as well as an ongoing coverage tracker
- Support the execution of events, including executive media days and campaign launches
- Research and evaluate thought leadership opportunities for key spokespeople
- Keep a pulse on the CPG and food industries, the media landscape and social media platforms to help provide insights and guidance on programs
- Respond to in-bound requests from clients, media and team with accuracy and timeliness
- Help track budgets and scopes, assessing estimates to actuals & managing changes as needed
- Support team in social strategy development, content planning and content optimizations for client’s corporate social channels
- Partner closely with full team to bring clients new thinking, recommendations and social ideas to build out owned channels – including relevant trends for brand channel
- Understand basic best practices with paid amplification to ensure content is optimized
- Identify and pursue quick-turn opportunities for social, ensuring tone-of-voice is carried through
- Lead social content development and recommendations, including engagement and posting cadence on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Conduct light research and social media monitoring
- Keep a pulse on emerging social platforms and trends
- Measure and report on results including monthly channel growth
- 3-5 years of experience in public relations, communications, advertising, social
- Ideally, several different account experiences delivering programs in public relations, marketing, or communications with experience in social media, materials development, media relations, and partnership outreach
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities and excellent interpersonal skills
- Has project management skills; able to manage multiple parties to complete tasks and deliver quality outcomes for projects.
