SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - HOSPITALITY

The Dana Agency, a leading public relations agency specializing in luxury lifestyle brands, is seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our Miami office. The ideal candidate thrives in tackling new challenges and is passionate about the hospitality industry. The SAE is a key member of our highly skilled, collaborative and motivated PR team, and will handle a range of assignments spanning all aspects media relations, client relations, analytical reporting, special events and team management. 

Candidates must be capable of juggling multiple clients, have experience managing a team and have 5+ years public relations experience with lifestyle clients including hospitality/travel brands. The Dana Agency promotes a culture of creativity and is looking for an outgoing team player who is ambitious, goal-oriented and enthusiastic about the industry. Core responsibilities include:

• Helping execute and manage PR initiatives including PR plans and strategy, press, media and influencer visits, drafting press releases/pitches, building and maintaining media lists, reviewing PR reports and client communications and tracking relevant industry awards.
• Executing PR campaigns and developing creative brand partnerships to ensure annual PR objectives are met and exceeded.
• Attending and assisting in event planning for clients, including hotel openings, ribbon cuttings, FAM trips, restaurant launches and other functions. 
• Proactively pitching media, formulating compelling pitch angles and securing meaningful media placements.
• Serving as a point of contact for clients and managing day-to-day activities of the account team, client projects and project workflow.
• Participating in new business RFPs as well as team brainstorms and creative ideation.
• Cultivating relationships with key client contacts, senior level national, regional and online media, freelancers and influencers.
• Overseeing junior team members by delegating responsibilities, encouraging development and providing mentorship.
• Regularly exploring value-add opportunities and solutions to maximize client ROI.  
• Maintaining current knowledge of news, events and trends relevant to our clients, their industries and competition and creating pitches and creative ideation accordingly.
• Supporting (or leading) daily account activities, including developing and managing project timelines and action plans, to ensure all deadlines are met.

Requirements include:

• 5+ years prior work experience in the hospitality/travel industry. 
• Exceptional verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written communications skills (including editing and presentation skills) and a strong attention to detail. 
• Experience in delegating and managing junior team members.
• A proven track record of success delivering high-quality pitches that resulted in national media features. 
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, project management and client relationship skills.
• Established media relationships in the hospitality and travel space.
• Experience working with traditional and new media, podcasts and influencers.
• Comfortable leading client calls and serving as the primary day-to-day client contact.
• Highly organized, with a proactive take-initiative attitude, a solution-driven creative thinker experienced working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment, managing multiple clients.
