We are actively interviewing candidates for a Senior Account Director opportunity.

Our client leverages the latest cloud and AI innovations to revolutionize geoscience data and interpretation workflows, enabling geoscientists to make faster and smarter decisions about the subsurface. Our client offers multiple products in seismic data storage, visualization, and interpretation.


We are interested in speaking with sales professionals with a proven track record in software sales to the oil and gas industry, particularly in seismic interpretation. The position will involve selling a range of seismic data storage, visualization, and interpretation software products and managing customers based in the USA. The exact territory and customer profile will be determined in conjunction with the successful candidate.

You will report to the Vice President-Americas and will be expected to work independently, with backing from the Houston team, to meet and exceed your financial targets. The position represents an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to learn and actively participate in a small expert team environment with the backing and opportunities of a larger global organization.


Location:

Houston, Texas. However, a reasonable amount of travel should be expected to client offices located throughout the assigned territory in the US.


Knowledge & Skills:

1. Extensive experience dealing with and understanding the sales process as it relates to selling software and related services to oil and gas companies based in the USA and a network of relevant contacts within those companies.

2. Able to close deals effectively and not just generate interest and fill pipelines.


It would be advantageous for the candidate to have some of the following existing capabilities:

1. Previous sales experience selling software (seismic interpretation, etc.) to the upstream.

2. A good working knowledge of seismic interpretation, data storage, and visualization software.


The successful candidate must be able to:

1. Work as part of a small local team and collaboratively with individuals from other teams worldwide.

2. Be a good communicator and able to see long-term value opportunities.

3. Be self-motivated, require minimal supervision, and have excellent communication skills both in written and verbal English.

4. Use standard MS Windows and associated office productivity software tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

5. Use CRM to help manage customer relationships and sales opportunities.


Education:

A BS and MS in a related field are highly preferred. Demonstrable successful experience in software sales will substitute for preferred education.
