The primary responsibility of the Security Officer is maintenance of security for the General Office.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensure exterior doors and stairways are secure.
  • Be visible to employees entering the property and be alert for individuals not invited on the property.
  • Escort distinguished guests into or out of the building.
  • Monitor cameras, with close attention to the gates for unauthorized entries.
  • Patrol parking lot at different intervals.
  • Monitor senior management’s arrival/departure to ensure security levels.
  • When fire alarm sounds, determine area via panel and help determine seriousness of alarm; in the event of a false alarm, silence the alarm and notify appropriate personnel.
  • In the event of an emergency, help to evacuate staff.
  • If equipment (gates or cameras) are broken, notify appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be a commissioned peace officer with the State of Texas.
