The primary responsibility of the Security Officer is maintenance of security for the General Office.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Ensure exterior doors and stairways are secure.
Be visible to employees entering the property and be alert for individuals not invited on the property.
Escort distinguished guests into or out of the building.
Monitor cameras, with close attention to the gates for unauthorized entries.
Patrol parking lot at different intervals.
Monitor senior management’s arrival/departure to ensure security levels.
When fire alarm sounds, determine area via panel and help determine seriousness of alarm; in the event of a false alarm, silence the alarm and notify appropriate personnel.
In the event of an emergency, help to evacuate staff.
If equipment (gates or cameras) are broken, notify appropriate personnel.

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Must be a commissioned peace officer with the State of Texas.
