The Security Manager monitors the security operations of the facilities. Implements security policies, regulations, and rules and ensures the organization’s environment is safe for patients, visitors, and employees. Supervises security staff for 24/7 facility operations.
Performs as a working manager, carrying out duties of an unarmed security officer, while supervising security officers.
Assumes the role of security officer when a scheduled post cannot be filled.
Prepares work schedules and approves payroll.
Follows all Medical West policies and guidelines.
Supervises security related activities to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and associates of all facilities, properties, equipment, and other assets.
Monitors and evaluates staff performance. Initiates corrective actions when needed. Counsels and motivates security officers.
Oversees the training of new employees.
Assists in organizational planning, staffing, budgeting, audits, surveys, investigations, policy development and implementation.
Keeps abreast of new services, policies, procedures, and other matters to ensure efficient security operations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or GED and three (3) years’ related experience required.
