LEGOLAND New York Resort is seeking vibrant and imaginative individuals to fill the role of Seasonal Singers and Dancers. As key contributors to our Entertainment department, you will be instrumental in creating magical and lasting memories for families visiting our resort. This role provides an exciting opportunity for dynamic performers to showcase their talents in a unique and enchanting environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performance Excellence:
  • Deliver exceptional performances, captivating audiences of all ages.
  • Execute choreography and musical arrangements with precision and artistry, maintaining the high standards set by LEGOLAND.
  • Attend training and rehearsals with other performers, collaborating with directors, musicians, choreographers, technical crew, costuming, and stage management teams.
  • Character Research and Authentic Portrayal:
  • Research characters' personal traits and circumstances to authentically portray them to the audience.
  • Wear costumes, wigs, and makeup provided by the LLNY Costume team while adhering to safety training and procedures.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Collaborate seamlessly with fellow Singers, Dancers, and other members of the Entertainment team to create cohesive and entertaining productions.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and contribute innovative ideas to enhance performances.
  • Rehearsals and Training:
  • Attend rehearsals and training sessions regularly to refine skills, learn new shows, and stay updated on the latest entertainment concepts.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement in performance techniques.
  • Memorize and perform scripts, vocal scores, blocking, and choreography with precision and authenticity.
  • Improvise in character during interactions with guests and fellow performers.
  • Costume and Appearance:
  • Adhere to costume and appearance guidelines to ensure a polished and professional look during performances.
  • Maintain costumes and accessories in excellent condition, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Guest Interaction:
  • Engage with park guests in a friendly and approachable manner, contributing to a positive and memorable experience for visitors.
  • Act as the costume character "sidekick" for post-show meet & greets, guiding the character, interacting with guests, taking photos, and managing queue lines.
  • Engage enthusiastically with children and families, contributing to a positive and memorable experience.
  • Safety Compliance:
  • Prioritize safety during performances and rehearsals, strictly following all safety guidelines and procedures to create a secure environment for both performers and guests.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to supervisors.
  • Professionalism and Etiquette:
  • Demonstrate excellent time management and punctuality.
  • Adhere to proper green room etiquette, being polite and conscious of peers.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all costumes are properly cared for, handling and storing props and equipment correctly.
  • Complete cleaning assignments for green rooms and maintain a tidy and organized backstage area.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends, to support resort operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Singer and/or Dancer, with a diverse and impressive portfolio of performances.
  • Exceptional singing and dancing abilities with the versatility to adapt to different styles and genres.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and memorize scripts, choreography, and musical arrangements efficiently.
  • High energy levels and enthusiasm for entertaining diverse audiences.

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in entertainment, theme parks, or similar environments is advantageous.

Pay Range

USD $21.50/Hr.
