Seasonal Overnight Graphics Designer/Animator

JOB DESCRIPTION

The NFL Media Design Group is seeking an experienced Designer-Animator to support the daily needs of the Good Morning Football daily show, launching July 29.

Beginning in late-July, this assignment will be overseeing East Coast morning programming from our offices in Inglewood, CA, which will require early morning working hours (2-3am start time).

Working side-by-side with a Creative Producer, your primary assignment will be to field daily requests from show producers, quickly formulate a strategy to meet the content need, and then respond with designs and animations that adhere to the brand guidelines of the show in a timely manner. The fast-paced nature of the daily show requires design-savvy problem solving, clear communication, a keen sense of time management and the ability to self-manage the creative with the tools and guidance provided. You and your Producer partner will report into the daytime Sr. Creative Producer and Art Director for ongoing creative direction and collaboration across shifts on longer-term Sales, Specialty and Event-related design-and-animation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the sole creative voice for the Media Design Group during your shift, facilitating design and animation requests for Good Morning Football that align with the provided brand guides and best practices.
  • Conceptualize, design, and animate/version a wide range of creative elements daily in support of the show’s stage and on-air content.
  • Help set and then meet timeline expectations, in consult with your partnered Creative Producer.
  • Be adaptable to feedback from the dayside Sr. Producers and Art Directors as the show creative needs evolve.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working in the design-animation field.
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator. Proficient knowledge of C4D is a plus.
  • Ability to develop custom designs and animations from original concepts or that derive from style guides, existing graphics packages and/or references provided by art directors.
  • Ability to adhere to communicated file naming conventions and shared organizational guidelines.
  • Able to accommodate non-standard work hours, holidays and weekends as needed:

Terms / Expected Hours of Work

  • NFL employees are required to work 40 hours per week.
  • 7-month seasonal employment
  • E arly morning working hours (2-3am start time)

Salary / Pay Range

This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.

Salary

$37 — $80 USD
