This role involves performing general tasks related to animal care, including inspecting animals, inputting data into databases, and providing care such as feeding and cleaning. Additionally, the role requires interaction with animals and providing support to departmental staff.
DUTIES And RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Essential Functions
Perform a wide variety of general tasks and duties, inspect animals and compare data received of the animal, input animal data into databases, etc.
Ability to interact with, inspect, walk, feed, clean animals as needed.
Provide support to all departmental staff and SFT as required.
Marginal Functions
May be responsible for operating vehicles and equipment such as trucks, forklifts, tractors, golf carts or otherwise as directed.
Perform additional related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE And TRAINING GUIDELINES
Any combination of experience that would likely provide the required knowledge is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Preferred Education And/or Experience
One to three years of job or related experience is preferred.

Reports to Barns Supervisor
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environmental Conditions
Barns and outdoor environment; exposure to all types of livestock and potential livestock related illnesses; irregular work hours; occasional exposure to inclement weather; work closely with others.
Physical Conditions
Essential and other important responsibilities and duties require maintaining physical condition necessary for standing, walking, and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time; work consistently requires manual dexterity.
Work Schedule
Ability to work on non-fair days with hours varying between 7:30am-8:00pm.
Ability to work the 24 days of the fair, September 27, 2024, through and including October 20, 2024. Hours will vary depending on events.
