Workskill is looking for Sculptor To provide an excellent finished product by creating three-dimensional artworks by shaping, carving, or manipulating various materials, and to accurately represent the desired look and feel of a Client’s proposed project. Duties and Responsibilities: Level I: Responsible for adhering to all Company and Project safety programs, policies, and procedures as well as all Federal, State, and local safety codes and regulations. Working with concrete, plaster, epoxy, foam, urethanes, and silicon used to create tools and plug-ins.

Assist in setting up and cleanup of the work area. Listen and comprehend artistic direction from leads and respectfully follow instructions as to its completion. Will work with such tools but not limited to, chisels, gouges, hammers, rasps, files, and drills. Refine the surface, paying attention to details, textures, and finishes by utilizing sandpaper, polishing tools, or other techniques to achieve the desired smoothness or texture. Ability to work in diverse styles and scales. Help teammates across the job when it is needed with a positive attitude. Performing tasks in repetition in an efficient and consistent manner until the job is completed and within deadlines. Level II: In addition to the above: A working knowledge of carving techniques and a broad collection of tools used in completing this work. Will work with such tools but not limited to, chisels, gouges, hammers, rasps, files, and drills for subtractive processes like carving or cutting away material and alternatively additive techniques like modeling, molding, or casting to build up layers or shapes. Ability to create an acceptable artistic product and complete the work with moderate oversight and guidance. Must listen and comprehend artistic direction from leads, offer ideas and experience in completing the task if solicited, and respectfully follow their lead in its completion. Responsible for noting all integration elements within the work, knowing how to finish these elements, and executing these proper procedures. Extrapolate from reference material what material is needed to do the work, the steps needed to do the work, the tools needed to do the work, and the protection needed to do the work, and be able to set these in motion without additional oversight. Assess the task and understand which tools/ materials are needed to complete it and line out work for the day with the most efficient workflow. Relay artistic direction to team members if there is confusion in a clear manner. Listen, comprehend, and converse about the artistic direction from Art Directors, offer ideas and experience in completing the task if solicited, and respectfully follow their lead in its completion. Manage a clean and organized work area that shows professionalism. Qualifications / Experience / Skills and Attributes Requirements: Commitment to, and working knowledge of workplace health, safety, environment, and quality standards. Previous experience in construction or capable of highly physical work. Ability to absorb and reproduce techniques and procedures using approved materials and tools. Ability to be punctual and dependable. Strong time management and planning skills. A personal value system is demonstrably consistent with organizational values. Show proper care and respect for personal and company tools and materials. Must be enthusiastic, hardworking, desire to learn, and ready to share their knowledge. Level I: 1-3 years of experience with either a scenic artist background or plaster work but not in theming. Level II:

3+ years of experience working in the theming industry as a scenic artist and sculptor. Working Conditions / Schedule: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a warehouse setting. Work environment will change often and will require consistent awareness of surroundings and potential dangers to themselves and others. May be required to work under extreme environmental conditions and work from excessive heights with high-reach equipment and/or scaffolding elevations. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance from others or lifting devices from floor to waist and waist to floor.

Ability to walk, hear, and see in order to reasonably perform essential job functions. Must have agility and a good sense of balance, willing to work in high places.
